Today I just finished the longest road trip in my life, so far, from San Diego, California to Albuquerque, New Mexico. An estimated total of 12 hours.
For the usual trucker, this might seem trivial, but to me in my little white car, it was quite a unique experience.
We went from San Diego to Alpine, Alpine to Yuma, Yuma to Phoenix, Phoenix to Gallup, and Gallup to Albuquerque. The environment was very diverse on the way over, but for the most part it was a series of deserts and mountains.
Taking a lot of stops was necessary, as to limit the aching, but after getting to our destination, we could not help but leave the rest of the day to rest.
Tomorrow, we will see the Balloon Fiesta and see hot air balloons float in the sky as though they were clouds.
